Grand Master Choa Kok Sui's mission is to make pranic healing the order of the day (Article by Dhiraj Singh, August 1999, Hindustan Times) It was a charged adolescence where school pranks meant giving electric shocks to friends. But neither friends nor Choa Kok Sui himself knew that this inexplicable virtue would one day make him a continent-hopping healer. "At that time I thought only psychics and clairvoyants can do it (healing)," says he. A Filipino of Chinese descent, Choa became interested in healing when the bouts of teenage conductivity caused some healing, albeit unknowingly. His association with pranic healing dates back to more than two decades, although he established the World Pranic Healing Foundation "around '87-88-89". "Unfortunately there's no birth certificate," he reveals jovially. Between giving off sparks he completed a degree in chemical engineering, then mastered business administration. |

A first hand account of what happens from the onset of labour to the moment when you hold your baby in your arms. A reader shares her birth story I am a great believer in God and the natural world and my second pregnancy was a completely spiritual journey where f felt healthy, happy and whole from the beginning itself. I did loads of Yoga and Pranic healing and it all went by very smoothly. The only thing I was a little worried about was having a normal delivery again because I had had a problem with my back a few years ago but surprisingly, my back didn't act up at all during my pregnancy. On October 20, my husband, Jatin, was due to travel out of Delhi for work but for some reason I was just not feeling comfortable with him leaving despite the fact that I was not due to deliver our baby until November 12. I had no idea that he had gone to a lot of trouble to plan a surprise baby shower for me for the next day and had even arranged for my best friend to come into town! But things didn't go according to his plan. That night around 12:30, I started to feel mild lower abdominal pain. Since I am a Pranic Healer, I healed myself a little and the pain soon subsided, chasing away any feelings that I could be in labour. |

Pranic Healing is a way of life and teaches one about proper diet, exercise, proper emotions and thoughts, proper human relationships, proper livelihood, lifestyle and karma laws, an insight by Ajay Pal Yoga Vidya Pranic Healing is an ancient art and science of Healing with prana which is life-force and the simultaneous practice of concentration leading to stillness and awareness. The two fundamental principles of Yoga Vidya Pranic Healing are "Cleansing" and "Energising'. Nature teaches us the same principles (of cleansing and energizing) when we look at ourselves. As we exhale, we are "cleansing'. The blood gets cleansed by the release of carbon dioxide gas. As we inhale, we are "energizing". The blood gets energized with oxygen gas. Similarly, we "cleanse" our bodies through elimination and "energise" them through eating and drinking. |
