On Saturday, 18 August 2007, a handful of us gathered at the Karuna Wellness Centre to discuss the book “The Existence of God is Self-Evident”. I have to admit that I was disappointed at the poor turn-out, but my doubts quickly evaporated as the session started. Thanks to the right guidance, it turned out to be a fruitful and engrossing “study” of the book that is so potent, so deep and so condensed. |

A well-attended Group Session on 'Detachment' was conducted by Yulia on Aug 11 at the Karuna Wellness Center.
Sujasha provides a glimpse of the session below:
What makes us reluctant to accept the new, and to let go of the old? We seem to be constantly “attached” to things, thoughts, people, responsibilities, memories, worries, ideas, fears… An issue that affects each one of us, in many forms, at every step of life, “Attachment- and How to practice Detachment” is what we talked about in the session.
In the language of Pranic Healing, attachment is hundreds of cords that constantly attach us to our thoughts, to everything we cannot mentally disconnect from. On a material plane, it is easy to identify attachments, but on a subtler plane, we are unaware.
As Yulia pointed out, the key to detachment is the truth that “nothing is permanent”. Master has repeatedly emphasized “accurate perception, and correct expression”! It is only by understanding the worth and purpose of everything correctly, including our role in the scheme of things, that we can get on top of attachment. |

Dear Healers,
Master has left us a legacy of priceless and beautiful teachings in the form of His Lotus Sutras. ‘Experiencing Being’ happens to be one of my personal favourites - it serves as a ready reckoner for me in dealing with stressful situations/relationships encountered in daily life. Thank you Master!
A few of us met yesterday (Aug 8) to discuss the teachings contained in this invaluable book. It was an enriching experience wherein we shared and exchanged our views and in the process not only discovered the inner meaning of various Sutras but also learnt their practical application in day-to-day life.
In order to make it more convenient for Healers for attend book discussions, going forward book discussions will be held twice a month on alternate Saturdays from 5.30 pm to 6.15 pm, prior to the Group Meditation. The Group Sessions on specific topics will continue to be held on the balance Saturdays.
Let us all try to attend at least one book discussion every month. Hope to see you all at the next discussion! |
